Jazz never stops

Rubén Salvador doesn’t just know how to play the trumpet. He also knows how to compose as evidenced by his signature on most of the compositions included on aKufeno, a series of melodies that transport the listener by land and sea, from Galicia to the Basque Country, from bop to more contemporary sounds. Salvador drinks from many sources and seeks inspiration in many places. He resists being categorized which is also why he includes new companions as well as his old friends, all of them dedicated to the craft of giving form–and life–to these compositions, embracing the sweet sound of the trumpet and carrying it as far as the listener’s ear allows.
